Air duct inlet:
In order to transport the air to the brake ventilation outlet, a suitable inlet is essential. The M3/M4 does not have inlet ducts in the front bumper ex works like the M2 Competition, for example. What your car does have, however, are 2 radiators on the sides behind the bumper! So why not use the existing airflow?
To prevent the air after the radiators from swirling randomly in the wheel arch, we have developed a guide channel that can be fitted with minimal effort and guides the air around the wheel and connects a 40 cm hose (per side) to the outlet. Our tests have shown that no significant back pressure builds up behind the radiator and in the event of extreme speeds and increasing pressure, the ducts do not present any obstacles to the escaping air behind the radiator.
Air duct outlet:
In many vehicles (such as the F80/F82), brake cooling is recommended even under medium loads, even off the racetrack. This not only improves braking performance, but also drastically reduces wear on the friction partners. Our armature plate uses the channelling of the air flow to the centre of the brake disc in order to use the turbine effect to cool the disc from the inside. In doing so, we direct the airflow at the disc at a defined angle in order to avoid any scattering losses and make maximum efficient use of the available air volume.
Thanks to the lightweight design in combination with powder-coated aluminium, the armature plate is sufficiently strong and at the same time light and robust. In addition, the bearings closest to the brake disc are shielded from the heat in order to increase their service life (if necessary).
